Part Time Casual Rowing Coach

Salary: Competitive

Part time, Temporary

Start Date: TBC

Sir William Perkins's School is looking to appoint a part-time rowing coach to perform a professional coaching role when engaged during holiday times and exceptionally busy term-time periods.

This role is an opportunity for those with a strong passion for, and understanding of the sport to develop their coaching skills, working predominantly with the younger rowers of Sir William Perkins's Boat Club at a very exciting time. A keen eye for detail, and care over properly executing tasks (taken by both themselves and the pupils under their watch) are essential, as is an awareness of the safety and wellbeing of the students at all times before, during and after sessions.

The Boat Club is on an exciting trajectory, with excellent backing from the pupil and parent body, as well as strong support and investment from the school. Whilst the majority of the role’s responsibilities centre around ensuring an excellent start to our rowers’ summer racing journey in Year 9, there may be the chance for some sessional coaching of our successful older age groups, which include National Schools’ Regatta Medallists and GB and England U16 and U19 Internationals.

How to apply

Applications should be completed using the electronic form and should include a personal statement.

Applications will be considered as they are received and interviews will be held at a date tbc.
